Blog Circle ~ Interesting Perspectives

Tuesday, April 2nd, 2013

What is an interesting perspective?  I wanted to see examples of what others thought of when using the expression “interesting perspective photography” and what I found was that most topics were about forced perspective.  While I find forced perspective images fascinating, I just didn’t feel that’s how I wanted to interpret this month’s theme.  So I came up with two versions of what I feel are interesting perspectives.  When you are done here be sure to follow the circle over to Linnea’s blog to see her beautiful shots on this subject!

Number one, the normal but not quite normal photo.

And number two, a more literal take on interesting perspectives.  I laid on the ground and used my iPhone to shoot up at my son on the monkey bars.

Deer ~ Lancaster, Pa Fine Art Photography

Saturday, October 27th, 2012

Lancaster County Park has a great wildflower preserve that I love to go to.  The scenery is beautiful and you can find animals of all kinds there.  On this particular day I was excited because the fog was thick and I was really hoping to get some Halloween shots of my kids.  As we ventured down the hill my son stopped me and said “mom, look, there are deer”.  Sure enough right in front of us stood two deer.  They didn’t run, they just looked at us.  I told my kids to stay still and be very quiet.  I quietly got my camera out of my bag and forever captured these beautiful creatures. Eventually they got tired of us and high tailed it out there.  I, however, was left with this gorgeous image.
